Staying Healthy

What do you value most in your life at this juncture?

This could well be an excellent time to place health at the top or near the top of your priorities in life.

There are of course many avenues to pursue in seeking continued good health - better nutrition, good sleep, regular exercise that you can enjoy, a quiet mind, amongst others. As a contribution to help you increase your focus on your health, encompassing physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health, I have uploaded two videos on my website of two Chi Gung* practices, ‘The Eight Pieces of Brocade’ and ‘Opening the Energy Gates of the Body.’

Bruce Frantzis in his book, “Opening the Energy Gates of the Body” lists the following benefits of a regular practice of Chi Gung.

He indicates that they help to …

- Build effortless relaxed power

- Improve cardio-pulmonary and vascular function

- Strengthen the nervous system

- Ease stress and increase the flow of Chi (life force) throughout the body

- Increase muscle tone and toxin release

By being present during your practice, your mind will quieten and your awareness of self will increase. Practice daily (ideal) or 3-5 times per week for best results. Build your practice slowly and seek help to increase the benefits of these practices.

Enjoy!

*Chi Gung literally means “Energy Works.”
