Leading The Way

“Leadership is not about competencies, skills and personality. It’s first and foremost about being in touch with what you care about…and then going for it! …. You need to be ‘up to something’… a dream, ambition or goal, and it’s got to MATTER to you”

Steve Radcliffe in “Leadership Plain and Simple” (2010)

Leadership is a Journey…it is complex, uncertain, ambiguous, dynamically challenging and interdependent…

“It will require more of you than you currently know, and test you in ways you cannot yet comprehend.”

Jon Chapman

Now more than ever before we require leaders with imagination, integrity, courage and with the ability to engage others in creating and realising worthwhile goals.

“Leading the Way” is a demanding Journey designed specifically to take your leaders of potential (as well as established leaders!) on a challenging, practical and life-changing path towards true leadership.

Key features of the Eleven Module, Nine Month Programme include…

  • A very challenging and innovative first module based around the ancient myth of Parzival and his quest for the Holy Grail…
  • A process which requires the delegates to set Behavioural and Performance Goals and to identify four “Supporters” (including two who report to them) within their business and who will provide them with feedback on their progress with their Behavioural Goals.
  • An in-depth look at themselves (Two Modules)…through I.Com, their “Four Selves” and insights from the Affective Communication Test developed by Professor Howard Freidman of California State University.
  • Building the capacity to Engage their people and develop BIG relationships.
  • Developing their “Story Telling” skills to motivate, build trust, overcome resistance and lead teams successfully into the future.
  • Establishing Presence and developing Gravitas … staying cool and calm under pressure.
  • Learning to lead under pressure… in the outdoors
  • Facing up to difficult conversations and developing leading edge coaching skills.
  • Learning to deliver great results through others and bringing their new capacities to bear within their current business role.

All delivered in a participative, interactive, very practical style…based on the principles that learning should be challenging…and fun!!

“Leadership is essentially a task of persuasion – of winning hearts and minds.”

Stephen Denning, 2005
